    • We are on social media because our friends are on social media. But so are influencers and publications who share consumable content we’re interested in. And we can assume that other people are also on social media for the same reasons as we are.

Being image oriented, Instagram lends itself well to things like fashion, fitness, sports, DIY, design, etc. If you’re an expert or deeply curious about a subject, Instagram makes your content easily consumable.

While you think that you might not use Linkedin, all you need is someone or something that you’re interested in that is being shared on the platform. Once that thread is pulled, then there is a good chance you become a user--frequency to be determined.

    • Each social media has its own personality. The features on each platform and who you follow on them determine how you will use it. For Linkedin, it might not be the most rewarding place to share pictures of your baby shower. But to highlight your company’s growth for the quarter might more be in line with what is shared on Linkedin. Linkedin is also highly populated by recruiters. All of this is to say that Linkedin positioned itself for a specific niche in social media that led to great success with B2B marketers.
